Maple Leaf Models makes resin 7.62mm and .50 cal link. American 7.62 and German 7.92mm look about the same in 1/35 scale. The only problem is there is quite a bit of flash to clean up and not all the rounds are the same length. If you really want to put the time in you could clean up the belt, or you could use stretched sprue as the bullets and use strips of tape for the link.
