Hello Paul:
That may explain the dearth of information about the colors I was searching for. I saw on the color box art of the Tristar staff officers that the pants color was Tamiya XF-53 neutral grey but the general grade officer jacket is a mix of XF-65 field grey and XF-50 field blue, the collar in XF-27 black green, red piping running the length of the front opening. The cut of the uniform is different. Six front buttons instead of five for the junior grades. Pointed pocket flaps and slash cut lower pockets. The peaked hat the same color as the jacket but trimmed in gold. I tried a few variations of that mix but it just didn't look right. I'll stick to your guide. None of my printed reference material has much mention of general grade uniform colors.
