Go to a Artists Supply store/Arts and Crafts store. Tell them you want good oils brushes. These will be a good grade of sable or even synthetic material. Which you get is up to your budget.
Next, note what I said about undercoats. These are really important. Just get a few acrylic colors that match the uniform colors you're trying to paint. They will hide a lot of mistakes in the oil final coats. Don't worry about whether the oils dry gloss or flat. I ALWAYS overspray my figures with a flat clear-coat to protect the oils.
