Mike,
Thanks for the quick reply and the tips. I've actually assembled a couple figures before but they were quite a bit simpler than the one's I'm diving into now, so I'm a relative newbie with these still.

I wasn't sure if epoxy putty would have the strength either. I'm kinda envisioning using a little bit of epoxy putty to hold everything in place then maybe running a bead of CA around it for strengh moreso than just using the putty as the sole adhesive.

The figure I'm putting together now is holding an M4/M203 with both hands. The hands are molded as part of the weapon and end at the wrists, so each arm joins the torso to the wrists to set the location of the arms and have the weapon end up at the right attitude. That means there's four spots that have to get lined up and glued at the same time so everything lines up right. As CA doesn't have any "stick" to it, and I don't have nearly enough hands to hold all the pieces in place while the CA sets up (or while I reach for the accelerator...) I thought of using epoxy putty to stick everything together and still have some time to fiddle with the fit of the individual peices without worrying (too much) about the whole thing falling apart.

I thought about the pin technique, but I'm not to confident in my ability to drill all 8 holes in the right places, and I'm worried that the brass wouldn't give enough adjustability. Even if I used soft wire, there's still not much room to wiggle two parts unless there's a pretty big gap between them in any case.

Thanks again,
Curtis
