Curtis,
You're correct on all three counts.
Even though the kit gives you an optional torso, it doesn't give you optional arms or legs. As such, that torso can only be combined with another Airborne Miniatures figure. Verlinden figures, even Maciek's VP sculpts, have heads that won't fit that torso.
I think SOL's SWAT might.
As for a Sniper review, feel free to write one. I know some figure modelers have asked for a review online, but to date, no one wrote one. I've other interests to attend to since a review takes me one to three hours to write :-).
