I've built dozens of these large-scale figs over the years, so have some advice (some of which might seem a bit weird. Trust me.).
If you undercoat the vinyl figure with acrylic or lacquer paint, you can use enamels or oils pretty much as you please EXCEPT for enamel black. For some reason, I've had difficulty in getting black enamel to effectively set up on vinyl figures. If it's mixed with something else, fine, but not straight. I use acrylic black for that. You may have the same trouble with straight silver.
