You could use Tamiya's British infantry on patrol set, just add one of hornets headsets and add a holster intead of pouches. The desert could be cold at times and there are lots of photos of RTR troops wearing battledress and webbing. Tamiya's churchill crew in overalls would also be suitable for the desert
