Hi Paul,

This one is an absolute no brainer. Floquil Figure Primer spray bombs are the only way to go. You can get them locally no problem here in Vancouver. They come in Black, White and Nuetral Gray. There has been two sizes of cans circulating, for approx. $8-$11 CAN depending on size. This stuff is so good, it doesn't matter how heavy you lay it on, it will never hide detail. On the other hand, stay away from the Alclad Gray Primer, as this stuff is meant to fill scratches and other small inperfections prior to getting a perfectly smooth and clean surface for the metal finishes. As the Floquil is Lacquer based, it has great 'tooth' and Valejo work perfect over them. I can't comment on the other brand though, because there has been no need for me to use anything else.
