In theory it is 1/35 actual size. 1/1 is life size, 1/2 is half size, etc. Some companies must use bigger "standards" for judging human proportions.
Model soldiers as stand-alone collectibles have traditionally been 54mm size. This equates roughly to 1/32 scale up to 1/30 scale, depending on the maker of the figures. Model type figures (Tamiya, Dragon, etc.) are supposedly 1/35 scale, which is a modelling size, not a collectible size. Yet, Dragon has some figures that, if they were really 1/35, would be 8 feet tall instead of the "standard" 6 foot male. Just poor sculpting or the inability to work in a constant size.
You will find many resin figures to be "large" despite what the box scale might be. Just check to make sure if you are mixing figures to keep things realistic. Yes people do vary in height, bulk, etc., but larger figures usually have much larger guns, equipment, helmets, etc., that in most cases only came in ONE size... |
