This will be useful if using Vallejo:

The M1941 mixes is also suitable for the tanker jackets. Add some variety by using different mixes of khaki, field drab, etc. Biggest advantage of Vallejo (and other acrylics) is that after half an hour, you can start adding the next colour. Before starting to do washes and glazes, make sure the colour is well dry, otherwise you'll rub it off. A hairdryer is handy in this case, and will also help to bring the tone to an absolutely matt finish.
