Wow, thanks Stephen. That was indeed some very in depth pointers you have mentioned....

ok, first thing first. i want to make sure i get this right.... by blending in the baking soda with diluted white glue with water, after which i would use a brush and paint it over the desired area? No need to sprinkle any soda powder and use hairspray to hold it in place?

i have always been a acrylic user and not oils..... so that will definitely work for me.......... (i like the way how fast acrylics dry and how easy it is to correct a mistake while painting with a wet tip of a brush when using acrylics)
