[Quote] I agree completely and apreciate your position as an after market supplier in relation to Dragon, Tamiya etc. Your comments brought to mind a recent thread fromm WW2 Model Maker -forgive me for qouting myself!
''My view is, that it's a slight case of chicken and egg. There are such a lot of German kits and after market parts for them (Allied kits haven't been in the majority since the 1960's), that people, quite sensibly, go with what provides the most choice. Once they've started collecting references and kits, it makes sense that future kit purchases will also be German so those figures left over from the last project can be utilised and there's no need to buy another book for dtails of the markings etc. All very logical, just a bit frustrating if German stuff isn't your cup of tea!''[end of quote]
Alex,
You just sort of copied what I wrote in Military Modelling magazine, a few years ago. Great luck for us I started with German and Allied, but found allied more interesting ;)
Taesung, I also get you point, and must say I do appreciate your figures. But I usually buy figures when I need them. I have the DML M4A3 76 lying here, and will get your set of winter figures for it. But I'm not building it at the moment, so I will wait for that. I also have Tamiya Churchill in the pipeline, wanting to add your CW/Brit tanker. So please do not discontinune it (yet). ;) ... well, what I'm trying to say is, I for one do not have a stash of comparatively expensive resin figures. I sometimes pick some up when I see them. But when I really need one, I go searching for a figure that fits my idea. So, please forgive for not having bought the Brit tanker and US tankers yet ;) ...
