I believe Preiser, a German company, still offers male and female nude mannikins for sculpting, but they are a bit pricey and hard to find. Preiser also offers a 1/35th scale set of European refugees that, with some minor modifications, could represent Arabs, given that outside conservative communties like Saudi Arabia, Arabs dress pretty much like everyone else, though the women generally wear headscarves, and skirts and sleeves are often longer. These figures already have bulky clothing and scarves and such.
Preiser also offers a set of civilians clearing rubble, and most are female. Preiser faces are not as well-sculpted as current Dragon styrene or aftermarket resin products, but they are still quite useful.
Master Box has just released a "Victory 1945" set, depicting a couple of GI's out on the town with a couple of fashionable young women, which could always be resculpted for your purposes. I still have this on order, but their other recent sets are quite well-sculpted. |
