Hi Mike,
You could use the 2nd SAS figures as their dress & equipment is fairly generic for British airborne troops at that time, except for the figure described as wearing the SAS windproof smock (this was not issued to Parachute Regiment units during that period, as they wore the Denison smock). You would need to change the figures' heads for ones wearing the British airborne helmet, as most photos taken of Arnhem show troops quite sensibly wearing their helmets when in contact with the enemy (the Hornet head range has some airborne helmets available, I believe).
Re: the regular British infantry, armoured & lorried infantry from the Guards Armoured Division & 43rd Wessex(infantry)Division participated as part of 30 Corps' drive north to relieve the airborne troops at Arnhem & Oosterbeek, but I believe they got no further than Nijmegen (possibly someone will correct me on this!)which is about 5-6 miles south of Arnhem. They certainly never penetrated as far as the city of Arnhem itself. However, when the remnants of 1st Airborne Div. were evacuated from the Oosterbeek perimeter via the river, they were picked up by Royal Engineer & Royal Canadian Engineer assault boat crews who would have worn standard battledress & Mk.II/III infantry helmets.
Hope this helps you.
Regards,
Chris.
