Hello Frank,

I agree the formations you mentioned tried to recruit men without glasses. However, it was no rarity to find people wearing spectacles even in very elite formations (LSSAH, Wiking, GD, DR, HJ etc.). They must have realized at certain point that spectacles do not reduce the efficience necessarily. Anyways, compared to the people of our days relatively few wore spectacles in those days. Probably bacause selection tests were not accurate enough and it wasn't too hard to fool the medical personel.
