As a kid in the UK in the 70s I can still remember these names.Norman Abbey had a painting demonstration at the Model Engineers Show one year[must have been 74-75,as I came out to Canada in 76]At that time he was working on a large scale figure of a WW1 French drummer boy,that was fantastic.Another person who you would oftern bump into at the Shows,BMSS,etc was Edward Woodword the actor ,in the part as Callon he painted napolionic figures,but was also into them in real life.Its great to see that Norman Abbeys dio ended up at the RRW Museum ,it was a great work of art.
