The Tamiya set is a mix of uniforms, with the winter padded kackets and pants, the wool (unpadded) uniform and the greatcoats.

The box art is a decent guide in my opinion. The padded uniforms should be a mustard color fading towards grey. The wool uniform can be US olive drab, since they got a lot of lend-lease wool cloth, or a shade of olive darker than what you typically see for their summer uniforms. The greatcoat is show as brown in the box art IIRC, but should be a smokey grey color.

There is a very wide variation in uniform colors so as long as you don't go completely wild you will be OK.
