I have done 2 tristar sets and agree with some of the other posters in the detail is fine but not great. My biggest peeve is that they seem pretty miniscule compared to other manufacturer's figures, so consider that if you are doing a diorama. I know people come in different sizes, but I had wanted to put one set in a diorama with DML and Verlinden figures (we all know the Verlinden figs are a little on the big side). The Tristar figs looked puny even next to the DML figs, so I had to keep them separate.
