James,

I think you mean the set with the anti-tank mine on the end of a pole. The box art isn't painted too accurate as far as my research and uniform that I have. It appears that the figures are wearing Type 98 cotton trousers and Type 3 tropical shirt. Problem with the shirt is that it has the sleeve lenght of the Type 98 tunic (should be shorter). They are wearing Type 5 Showa boots with the typical puttees.

The colors I will mention are all Vallejo colors. They have the widest range of colors that will help paint the figures. You can of course use other colors but I have found that these colors seem to be the closest.

Helmet - #830 German Feldgrey WW II

Type 3 shirt - There were 3 shades made #923 Japan Uniform (most typical), #924 Russian Uniform WW II (the green shade of tropical shirt) or #819 Iraqui sand (the sometimes seen bleached shirt)

Type 98 trousers - #879 Green-Brown

Puttees - I have three sets of actual puttees and all three are a slightly different color. I would say the closest color compared to what I have is #887 Brown Violet with #821 German Camo Beige WW II for the cross ties.

Type 5 Showa boots - #940 Saddle Brown or # 981 Orange Brown (there were two types of finish on the leather boots)

Well, I hope that answers your question and isn't too complicated.
