Besides the usual culprits (early Italeri & Tamiya sets), I will nominate Lo Models Soviet Motorized Infantry. It is hard to forget about the uniforms having no folds or creases, buttons simulated by depressions in the tunics, and the featureless faces.
Well, at least the weapons were useful. That is if you could get them off the tree without breaking them.
