The appearence of sweat depends on the humidity of the region. I spent some time in the West Bank area of Israel during July one year. During one hike, with temperatures in excess of 100F, we were bone dry and beginning to feel the effects of dehydration. After refilling canteens and drinking, still no sweat. We hitched a ride with an Israeli sergent in his VW minibus. Once out of the sun we were drenched with sweat. The rapid evaporaton in strong sunlight had previously kept us dry.
