Hi Bob,
I'm sorry that the Dragon poses bore you!
Since I'm the guy who designs the poses, I guess it is my responsibility to respond. I suspect that it is a bit of a subconsious thing with me, perhaps in rebellion with Dragons' early figure policy which DEMANDED that every set be
nothing BUT "shoot-em-up" action. "I" find that sort of thing to be very boring!

Ideally each subject chosen should be rendered in several pose formats; combat action, advancing to combat and casual. That in theory might make everyone happy (I seriously doubt it though), but it is an unwieldy and unlikely event. So in the end, I have two weeks in the autumn in which to come up with poses for 40 to 50 figures while deciding what gear to give them and how to make them different from preceding sets. Sometimes I nail it but sometimes I don't. I'd prefer perfection but alas, I have to be satisfied by my best efforts. Perhaps the fellow who takes over after me will be better able to satisfy all the
modellers demands.

In any event, check out Italei's website if you want to see what I came up with for 2001. There are sketches of each set. Perhaps you'll be relieved to see that there are a few guys actually firing their weapons. If that won't do,
well I think if you came up with 20-30 thousand
bucks, Dragon might produce just the set that you want! :)

Best regards,
Ron
