Skulking around the web some time back I was able to determine that the average
height of English, Norwegian and US soldiers during the war years was 5'7" or
5'8" which puts them at about the same height as more recent Tamiya figures
(older ones are a bit taller). Many of the earlier DML kits are on par with the
taller resin figures from Verlinden, Warriors, etc. But some resin sets are
more toward the Tamiya size, including MK 1/35 and Coree. And recently Chris
Mrosko at Warriors said he'd asked his sculptors to bring their figures down to
a more typical size.
