Try glossing over your base flesh tone to smoothe things out- this is a
problem I have with oils as well- too much texture. I would suggest not
eliminating the whites, but you should watch the size. Also as you
improve try to make the outline finer, and move the pupils off dead
center- laser-beam staring is a recipe for bug-eyes. Also, be sure to
use off-white- add flesh to the white or a little grey.
