The ICM "Afghan" kits are only a wee bit better than Tamiya's "Modern
Infantry Set" in terms of armor, weapons, and gear. They are definitely not
Y2K current.
I find the ICM kits pricey...for eight figures it's already $16 USD. DML
seems to give more parts for $8 USD.
As for Discovery Channel, I know what you mean and I agree. DISC has some
excellent footage of troops and I'm sure the web can provide further
information as well.
The Warrior Afghan figures will go well with a T-55 when one makes one.
I think it's a matter of time before someone makes modern Special Forces.
The news magazines have lots of photos of them now. The 1/35 UH-60s alone
can use crews and troops.
