Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

I chose the AFV Club kit for my M39 project - I'm midway through it now. Both kits have their pros and cons - and have just been beaten to death. I selected mine because I felt I can better workout the inaccuracies of the AFV Club kit and still have the all-important "fun factor" in completing the model too. I get to tour and climb all over an M18 in a local collection reqularly. Personally, I like AFV Club's kit better in capturing the look and feel of the full-sized vehicle more than Academy's does for me. However, I'd love to see both an AFV Club-based and Academy-based M39 conversion side-by-side. That would be nice...
