apart from some details that Italeri have ommitted, the worst part of the Mk.II kit is the mantlet. It looks nothing like the real thing. I'm not talking about minor shape issues here, it's utter, utter cr@p. I believe Clipper Models makes an update set, but good luck if you want to find one.
I'm afraid you're stuck with Friul's track set, no one makes the early tracks. Friul's tracks are excellent by the way, very accurate and easy to assemble. They even have hollow guide horns.
From pictures I've seen, the Mk.1 kit is better, but not without faults. Its mantlet looks good but you'll have to modify the driver's visor somewhat.
To sum things up, I like the Mk.III and Mk.I kits a lot better than the Mk.II. Isn't it strange to see that Italeri quality has actually gone down over the last 25 years?
