I understand that it's the nature of our beast to have to fill ejector pin marks, poor fit problems...etc. But when I spend hour upon hour repairing poor craftsmenship, simply because a company wants to be first out in the market with some new kit, it frosts me.
If you ever delight in such things, go build the old 1/24th scale FW-190 from Heller/Airfix. You'll soon be up to your elbows in a styrene nightmare.
I DO take a certain pleasure in seeking out and fixing quirks. But I have to admit, after purchasing the first Nashorn a long time ago, and more recently, the Elefant from DML, I'm irritated.
As for what I want to build from AFV, their 10.5 field howitzer looks intriguing. From what I can tell, it has a wealth of detail. |
