Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Are you sure that the Canadians used A2's in Korea? I ask becuase Steve Zaloga's book, "Tank Warfare in Korea 1950-53", has a color plate depicting a Canadian M4A3E8 of Lord Strathcona's Horse in 1952. It indicates that the Canadians were initially equipped with M10's, which were traded in for M4A3E8's from U.S. stocks. I was actually preparing to build one of these.

Also, to answer your question, the AFV Club HVSS Suspension Set is a seperate kit which you must retrofit to a Sherman hull. AFV Club also makes the appropriate T80 track, though they are full of ejection pin marks and are difficult to assemble.

If the M4A2 is in fact the correct mark, the new Dragon Lend-Lease Soviet kit is excellent.
