Interesting - Canada's A2E8's may have been ex-Soviet Lend-Lease tanks that were returned to the US after the war and then redistributed to our Cold War allies [as opposed to being dumped in the Pacific].

As for the kits, the AFV Club HVSS Suspension kit is great, but its T80 tracks were a big dissappointment. Unfortunately, I think they're the only game in town, other than the Dragon kit tracks from its earlier HVSS Sherman releases, which aren't that great either. Academy has rubber T80 tracks from its Super Sherman kit, but I've never seen them personally.

Also, Archer has a set of markings for Canadian armor in Korea, which may be applicable to your conversion.
