Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

There are many items that can be used with this kit.

To begin with, Eduard produces many PE set for the M10. There are 2 set specially for the Duckbill(1 for exterior and the other for interior). There are also other set that are for Achilles or other M10, whcih can work as well. Currently the Eduard site seems to be down so I cannot check the item numbers.

Then there are metal barrels from Jordio Rubio and Barrel Depot. There should be other producers offering similar barrels, but I didn't bother to look fot them, as the Barrel Depot is quite cheap, while quality is ok.

For the tracks and suspension, you can choose from anything designed to be used with Sherman. The Academy suspensions are not bad, but need to add some small details like bolts and nuts. If you wants the ultimate details, you can use the newly issued Tasca Suspension set, which is workable just like the real thing. AFV Club also produces one, also workable, but not a signficant improvement in terms of details.

For indy track links there are vast choices from MK, Fruil, RHPS, AFV Club, and even some Russian-made metal ones the name of which I can't read.

The Duckbill is the only M10 release that have an engine so far. So you don't need to bother with finding one. For other releases you can use TWS engine for M4A2 with some modification.

HTH

Happy New Year

Leo
