I have also posted this under Research WWII
I Love Dragon Models, but they seem to do little to tell the story behind the vehicle. I was looking a long time for a Stug Ausf A because I wanted a to have a stug that would have participated in the invasion of France. I actually did some research and did find that four Stugs were tried out in the invasion and they must have been type A’s. So the Wittman Stug was all I could find. However in order to make the Wittman Barbaorssa Ausf A Dragon makes you remove a few parts and replace it with newer ones. The question I have is what version would it be if I didn’t remove those parts? Also is this a later version of the Ausf A… perhaps changed for the Russian invasion. I suspect that Dragon made a later version first then put out the A version later and the modifications are to predate the later Stug kit, but hopefully someone out there will know this better than I. Thanks in advance.
Aloha
