Hi Mike,

Having the 3 in 1, it does have the boxes you need as well as potional framework. The boxes are in PE metal. I plan to put the bridges on Dragon's Ausf D.

As for suing the Tamiya kit instead, this seems possible as long as the side angles are the same as the Dragon kit. From what I see, the Dragon kit is a bit narrower on top than either the AFV Club or Tamiya offering.

What I have not checked was if this is due to different angles on the upper armor.
