Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Subject:  Any replacement available for Dragon Firefly tracksList thread.

I have a constructed Dragon Firefly VC (bar painting) except the tracks.

I in most cases hate individual links and these are even worse than normal as the links require several peices per link.

Is there any good quality single piece i can purchase (in Aust) or failling that is there anybody in Aussie land willing to swap some decent 1 pieces for the original Dragon's.

Link tracks normally put me back 6 - 12 months of model making inactivity due to my dread of doing them.

For me the effort of cutting each link and other pieces on the track - cleaning and then painting and then putting them on before they go to hard to bend is a miserable job. I would prefer if they included both options. Most modern 1 piece tracks are good enough for me - I don't recall that US tanks had a great amount of SAG in them anyway.
