Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Hi,

I can shed some more light on the original question but don't old your breath. Not that much either.

The cab is definitely a Mercedes Unimog with the 6x6 chassis.
As far as I can tell and know, the rear structure looks non-standard.
In any case it is not like anything I know that drove around in Europe with several armies.
To me it has all the looks of a locally made conversion to suit local requirements.

Tuve was close with the model info.
The firm that produces a number of different versions of the Unimog in 1/87 scale is not Preiser but Roco from Austria.
But the version on the picture here is not one of Roco's models alas.

H.T.H

Bye
Jerry
