Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Hi Scott,

You did not state any scale ;-)

Anyway, Trakz sells copies of Tamiya's T-55 wheels. Or you can place an order with Chesapeake Model Designs (CMD) and get their turret (2 types offered), barrel, and wheels.

For the hull, I would still use Tamiya's T-62 with major improvements such as hatches, bullet splash bars, etcetera from Eduard's PE set, cut off the fenders and get the proper slope (explained in an FSM article by Cookie Sewell) as well as replacing the rear hull plate.

LOTS of work but satisfying. After all, you're a MODEL-BUILDER, not an assembler. :-D

When all else fails, sink it into the ground like the Iraquis did during Desert Storm.

Regards,
Saśl
