Well, in the strictest sense, it's 1/35 that's 'off scale'!!
There are some 1/35 scale helicopters, but no good aircraft kits in 1/35 scale.
If you are using only part of an aircraft (a bit of wing or tail) then 1/32 should work OK.
People tolerate Warriors and Verlinden figures with 1/35 scale armor, so I'd think a bit of 1/32 wouldn't hurt.
