The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too. |

If you can get it at deep discount, say $12 vs $23, it might be worth it. (There are only TWO frets in the set.) The brushguards and light mounts look OK, as does the MG equipment and the pioneer tool rack. About 20% looks just wrong, like: The items for the fender boxes (bars and small castings not flat strip and sheet metal), the turret sight hoods (armor plate not sheet), and the forward hull lift lugs (1-inch/25mm square or round bare, not sheet). The rest (maybe 20% of the parts) I'm suspicious of based on their M41 set. These various little brackets and such may be right but may be figments of somebody's imagination.
So there is some useable stuff in there, but considering that you can buy an M47 kit for $20 it really makes me wonder if the PE doubles the value of the kit. If I only had $25 to spend on M47 extras, I'd get AFV Club tracks and a bottle of Mr. Surfacer.
One almost vital accessory that doesn't exist is the mantlet dust cover. A good one of these vinyl ala Skybow would be worth $5 - $8 dollars to me. The clips and such are in the PE, but even they are rather two-dimensional . . . after folding.
