It's pretty grim.
The engine decks are M3 but the hull rear is from a diesel M3A3 or A5. The roadwheels have too many holes (should be five), the idler mounts are wrong and the hull is too wide as well as lacking a driver's periscope. The width issues distort the height as well, so you would need to do some major work if you wanted it accurate.
The turret contours are off, particularly the roof, which is significantly more complex than Tamiya suggests.
ABM did a very fine resin kit of the Grant but it is pretty well unobtainable and Academy's remains a rumour. |
