Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Even though Steve is right in terms of his seriesness towards the hobby, I would add that what makes it different from "toy collecting" is not only the time we spent on researching our own customization based on different vendors' kit, but also the enjoyment on the building process as well as the admiration on the effort the vendor has spent on the kit.

To me I will have a thorough view on different area like the quality of the mould, the creativeness of the mould design, the accuracy, the application of different materials and the finishing of the kit. It's all these factors make a satisfying kit but just not one or two points because we all know that we are not building a real tank. Otherwise we can just quit our daily boring job and apply for one in Aberdeen or Littlefield.

Thomas's questions gave me a feeling like he's too series to the details and eventually he will lost the interest towards the hobby. He's not a checker but a modeler so just build it and got the enjoyment, or there's actually no enjoyment involved because of other factors that I will be sorry to hear.
