Hiya Mike,
Sorry we missed you at the MMSI show. :(
The rods on the roof are NOT aiming stakes. I have not found a source directly saying what they are, but my informed guess is barrel cleaing rods. I know they are not aiming stakes because aiming stakes are only used for artillery pieces used primarily for indirect fire. The ISU's where inended for anti-tank and close infantry support (the russians called these dual purposes "assualt".) Hence the ISU's were called "assualt" guns by those pesky russkies. :) |
