Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Subject:  Keeping kit rubber wheels from rottngList thread.

I've considered into buying the Zvezda BTR 80 kits which has caught my eyes along time ago but I couldn't manage to get it until now. I was wondering how do you keep those rubber tires supplied with the kit so that they wont ruined by age?

I have a DML BTR 70 earlier back in 1996, which had its entire set of tires ruined by age before i even finished it & no replacement set to be found in the market=(.

So it just sits there in its box. another thing is that some people said that Zvezda are reboxing/reproducing those old cold war DML kit. So I was wondering if there's any chance of treatment to keep rubber tires so it wont be ruined(I don't want ot dissapointed twice).

Thx Guys
