Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

I built armor for about 3 years and took a 12 year lay off from the hobby. I recently started again and am having a great time.
My question is, it seems as though Dragon kits are well respected within our community and I have found them to be nothing but a headache. I am building a Hummel now and they're has been various problems that I've never found with Tamiya or Italeri Kits. Such things as the instructions being incorrect on what part goes where, Having to drill holes where there are none and should be.
My other Dragon kits I've messed around with seemed to have similiar problems.
Maybe this is nit picking but I was comparing the new Tamiya King tiger to Dragons. One of the things that jumped out at me was the thickness of Dragons exhaust when compared to Tamiya's much thinner and More realistic ones.
But it seems Builders love these kits and I was wondering why?
