he was wrong, eh? I wonder if he took his information from the Luchs at Bovington, which does have mesh on the back but it is quite obviously a post-war addition and doesn't match the standard German mesh.
I have had studied and photographed the Saumur Luchs and there is no evidence of any attachment points for the mesh if there was any.
