Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Hello guys,

One of Mark's compaints in his original message was about the building instructions by Dragon, but sofar I don't see anyone reacting to that.
And that surprises me a bit.

Because he does have a point there.
Of all the Dragon kits I have either finished only this year or either are under construction most of the instructions show irritating errors and/or omissions.
For example, kit 6187 SdKfz 251 Ausf C, take a look at step 3, the suspension arm stoppers Parts D25.
Dragon tells you to place them upside down!

Though I wholeheartedly agree to the fact that Dragon h a s improved a lot qualitywise, the same cannot be said of their instructions.
Not totally wrong, but more than occasionally silly errors keep creeping in.
And that should not be so, for a company that does top rank kits like their new Tigers and their Flak 88mm.
Dragon got their 'plastic' very much okay now, but their 'paperwork' is definitely still open for improvement.

Happy modelling
Jerry
