Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Hello guys,

I completely agree with everyone else's high praise for Tasca's Luchs.
Both versions, the Normandy as well as the 4th PzDiv.
In my opinion the best plastic AFV kit for many years.
The Luchs is an absolutely frustration-free joy to build OOTB.

Though the Tasca Luchs vinyl tracks are pretty good, I opted for Friul metal tracks only because of the better sag on the roadwheels.

I am working two Luchs' to go on a Normandy recon dio sometime later.
The illustrated number 4121 is closed up while the other one ( vehicle number undecided yet) will have all turret hatches open.
Which leads to the one and only minor complaint one might have on this kit; no turret interior at all.
Pity, because of the (workable) turret's large rear hatch this begs for detail.

Eduard to the rescue, their set 35367 contains enough turret interior parts to turn it into something very convincing.

Happy modelling
Jerry
