Cookie Sewell had a very good article in Fine Scale Modeller (how to correct the rear hull, etc). July 1994. His T-62 was an Iraqi around the '91 Gulf War.
In my opinion, you need at least a new turret (aftermarket), new wheels, new tracks. You need to alter the rear hull, enlarged by Tamiya to fit whatever size batteries. Not to mention adding details. An interesting project.
