Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

I have that set but won't be able to get you measurements until this weekend. The set is unusual (but not for VP) in that the smaller of the two box sizes included cannot hold even the shortest round included in the set! One of the rounds is HVAP while another looks like a HEAT round, neither of which would be WW II vintage.

I also have actual measurements for the items. For the R1RIC package (1x M61A1 APC-T/fiber tube, 2x fiber tubes/box) the box was 31-1/4 x 9-3/4 x 6-1/2 overall including the cleats. I could not find the R1RID packaging (note the second character is a numeral 1) in the wartime catalogs. At any rate the R1RI _ packagings were all M61 series APC rounds, not M48 HE as illustrated on AA.

The M61 APC-T 26.28 MAX OAL.

KL
