While I have some sympathy with people who bought a kit that contains faults which are subsequently corrected, I don't have that much. I have seen pictures of several Pz IV Es built from the box with which the builders (good modellers, too) were happy, so it can't be that bad.

We should know by now that Dragon does this (original Pz IV variants, PaK 40, Sdkfz 251, T-34/76, Pz I B etc.) so I am astonished that people still complain that they have been cheated because they rushed out and bought something as soon as it was released (bragging rights at the local club?) and then feel that because the manufacturer took the trouble to correct errors, they should somehow be compensated for their impulsiveness.

Nobody forces us to buy the first release of a kit - it's like buying the first example of a car; the glitches take a while to iron out, so waiting until that happens is just common sense. I can't believe we are all so short of modelling projects that we can't possibly wait six months for this to happen. And if we can't, then let's remember the days when the corrections, if we wanted them, were down to ourselves to do. Surely that was not a better situation?
