Check out my MH-60L DAP build to see the FRIES (Fast Rope Insertion/Extraction System) mounted on the cabin roof. It doesn't interfere with the MGs at all.

If you mean the .50 cal MGs mounted in the doors of the MRC/Academy MH-60G, they are incorrect. Rarely, if ever are they mountd there on operational helos. I have only heard of it being done once on a test helo just to see if it would work. First off, you only have 2 crewmen in the back. With all their gear, extra ammo, aux. fuel tanks, and rescue gear, there isn't room for anyone else, let alone the two extra MGs.
